MENTOR

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Mentor in the Onyx Cafe, the Onyx Initiative’s virtual mentoring program.

This online mentorship program connects you with Onyx Scholars from across Canada who are eager to support their professional growth through the power of mentorship and we are very excited about your involvement.

Onyx Café, Mentorship at a Glance

• The Mentorship cycle starts every Fall and runs until Spring (appx 6 months).
• You will be invited to participate every Fall (opt-in or opt-out)
• If you opt-in, you will be matched to a new mentee scholar each cycle.
• There will be 7 guided, conversation topics covered - one each month
• We recommend a one hour conversation/month.

Your participation allows our Scholars the chance to:

• Set and validate their career goals
• Unlock new career directions and opportunities
• Increase their awareness of workplace dynamics, and
• Expand their professional network

The Onyx Initiative’s virtual mentoring program is powered by Ten Thousand Coffees (10KC).

You will be included in the online 'Membership Directory', please consider making yourself accessible for informal, informational interviews with Scholars
